Equilibrium #118 - July 3, 2009

Time will only run out when you do

from The 9 Steps to Emotional Fitness

Not enough time to do everything? Deadlines approaching faster than you can complete your assignments? Time, for so many people, rules us instead of the other way round. And to think that time is purely a convention created by humans to help us deal with the world!

Time will only run out when you do, so how about focusing on what is really important to you? My belief, you won’t be surprised to know, is that when we are emotionally fit, we manage time instead of allowing our thoughts about time to rule us. People often ask me what being emotionally fit means, and I usually enquire what it means to them. Here are some responses:

A person who is emotionally fit:

1. Is able to listen to him/herself and to others without getting in the way

2. Has a high level of self-awareness and self-esteem

3. Has the tools to be able enhance relationships

4. Is authentic in word and deed

5. Can deal with pressure without feeling stressed

6. Has a good sense of inner balance and harmony

7. Accepts and understands personal accountability

8. Has the ability to transform negative circumstances into positive, creative action.

Someone who has those qualities tends not to be ruled by time.

I will be making an important announcement about our training in the next Equilibrium. All in good time.

In peace
